The Trike Challenge Course Layout

Welcome to all the Trike riders. This is the first official attempt at creating a trike course that will be both challenging and fun to ride. I would appreciate feedback from any group or rider who sets it up and tries the course out. I have tested it with both GW trikes and a Spyder. It seems to work for both, although the times were a bit longer for the Spyder. My email is gwrradrillteams@att.net. At the moment, I'm specifically looking for feedback on the track width, turn radius and cone weave spacing. The slightly wider turn radius of some of the front wheel versions made me loosen up the turns. Every trike that has tested for me fit the course, although some of the wider trikes had to travel slower in the turns. Trainers and hosts - The course was modeled after the Novice Course to make it easy for you to transition from one to the other in a limited space to keep your event moving smoothly. That said, all the Challenge courses are intended to be a set of skills that you can and should modify to fit your available space, skill of the riders you are working with, and lastly, but most importantly, your mood of the day. When you are working with experienced Challenge riders, I encourage you to change both the ATC and the Trike course so that you truly are challenging your riders to think, adjust and adapt while riding the course. That is what happens to us on the road. Although we are about having fun, we're even more about safety. Please use the course so that everyone benefits while they're having fun. You'll find you have more riders attending and trying the course just to see what happens next!
