The MAD program is being restructured and will now be a part of the Rider Education Division. We will no longer have the responsibility of speaking with the motorcyclist, but will work with the Educators at the various levels to assist in presenting this information to the riders. Our main focus is on getting the word out to the non-motorcyclists. There are several Power Point presentations available for use when speaking with a group. The presentations can be tailored to the each presenter’s projected audience and preferences. More presentations can and will be added as time permits. Suggestions and presentations from members are encouraged. What can you do to assist with this program? Volunteers are needed at each level of the program. Everyone is asked to assist by helping the MAD coordinators in locating and presenting the program to the non-motorcyclists. These can be other organizations that we belong to, civic organizations, and schools (basic driving and remedial classes). There are many potential opportunities available, but we need everyone to assist. What is in it for you? Increased motorcycle awareness will permit us to enjoy our hobby with a lessened risk. When non-motorcyclists are aware of motorcycles (especially if they are riders or have friends who ride) they are much less likely to be involved in a motorcycle/non-motorcycle accident.
