Englishman Finds Friends Everywhere in the U.S.A.
I am an Englishman who came to Florida in January with the express idea of buying a Gold Wing 1800 and then riding from the East Coast to the West Coast. I bought the bike from GWRRA Member Dick McCormick in Port Orange, FL. Dick and his wife were the most accommodating and wonderful people possible. Dick picked me up from a local motel and brought me to his house and, as soon as I saw the bike, I knew it would be perfect for me. I spent the next week in their house, living with them until the money was transferred, plates and insurance bought, and everything else was taken care of. This shows how kind and generous the McCormick’s are.
During the journey, I used the Gold Book several times and stayed with different Members both in their houses and camping in their yards. People were always accommodating, generous and kind. I visited some amazing places, met some wonderful people, went on rides with GWRRA Members and had the most amazing time. I traveled a total of 18,000 miles on the journey.
Being a Member of GWRRA allowed me peace of mind with the Rescue service, but more than that it made me feel a Member of an extended family and meant I had friends everywhere in the United States, which means a lot when you are traveling alone. I look forward to a long relationship with GWRRA.

Really Enjoying GWRRA!
We are really enjoying GWRRA! We are active Members of WA-X. The people are great and very welcoming. We went to a seminar and had a great time as it was very informative, and the other Members were friendly and helpful. We are very satisfied with GWRRA.

Joining Chapter QC-Q Has Been a Rewarding Experience
I am very pleased to have joined this organization. My association with Chapter QC-Q in Vaudreuil-Dorion, Quebec, has been very rewarding. In the short time I have known these people, they have become great friends. I believe I have learned a lot via the ARC, PLP, and the Road Captain Seminars. And I have learned even more just by chatting with them. They have so much knowledge they willingly share. I am looking forward to more courses in 2009 such as First Aid, the Trailering Course, etc. I have done numerous rides with the group and all of them are extremely well planned. They took me to places I would never have thought of. I am very happy to be a Member of such a great organization.

Award From the Governor’s Office
I am forwarding this Newsletter from the Director of the Governor’s Office of Highway Safety. I think we can be proud of what's happening in Arizona. The Arizona State fair was a success due to the unselfish volunteering of GWRRA Members who provided intelligence and support to the Governor’s staff. We should be, and are, proud of our Members who step forward and help us do what we do. Dave and Sandie Novitt, Chapter AZ-A
