Associate Member Enjoying GWRRA
GWRRA wrote to ask about my experiences with the Association at this point. I actually live about an hour from the Chapter, so only rarely can I arrange to do some of their immediate area evening rides, and riding to and from on Arkansas highways at night are too dangerous, deer and all sorts of smaller animals crossing the highways. I’m also faculty at a university, so time isn’t always available to me. This said, I have enjoyed meeting the Chapter D Members, and have attended some of the monthly meetings. I very much look forward to doing some of the one and two-day rides they’ll be doing this summer. I ride a C90T Suzuki Boulevard, which means I feel a bit lonely in a crowd of Gold Wings, but the people are nice and they don’t stare too much! It would help if my wife would ride with me, but that’s never going to happen, I’m afraid.
I joined because I wanted organized group rides, and the Chapter D folks arrange lots of opportunities, which I like very much.

A Privilege to be Associated with GWRRA
From the moment we went to our first Chapter Meeting at NC G-2, we were welcomed as part of the family. Due to the fact that I didn't have my North Carolina motorcycle endorsement, my wife declined to ride with me. So, we went to the meetings in a car. I even took a picture of my 1986 Gold Wing to show the folks that I really had a Wing and I wasn't just blowing smoke.
We attend every meeting because we know that something useful will come out of it, a safety tip or some experience that will help us to be safer riders. Unfortunately, we are unable to go on all rides, but the ones that we can go on are very safety oriented. It is a privilege to be associated with GWRRA, and we hope to do so for years to come.

Chapter Directors Doing a Great Job
Our experiences with GWRRA have been very satisfying to date. Our Chapter Directors, Dale and Charles West, are doing a great job.
We would like to see even more emphasis on education, especially riding skills on ranges.
