Can you believe it—30 years! It is a very exciting time for GWRRA—we’re fast approaching the anniversary of our founding June 4, 1977. To our knowledge, we are the only single-marque motorcycle association of this size to celebrate 30 years of continuous existence.

Our birthday is June 4, and we want to celebrate with you. In honor of this memorable time, we would like to recognize the people who have made GWRRA so wonderful.

To say thank you to you, as Members, we are having drawings throughout the year for different things. One of the ways we are “Giving Back” is by having a monthly drawing. Each month we’ll give away a different prize to different Members. You are automatically entered in this drawing just by being a Member and supporting this great organization. Wing World will announce the winner and what they won each month and it will be posted on the 30th Anniversary website. Check back often to see if it is you or one of your friends.

This year, the Gold Wing Road Riders Association (GWRRA) will celebrate its 30th anniversary. What an accomplishment for a motorcycle association!

Founded in 1977 by Paul Hildebrand and Shirley Stephens-Garcia, along with seven other fellow Gold Wing enthusiasts, GWRRA began as a dream and has grown, over the years, into an 82,000-Member, 55-country, internationally renowned reality.

Today GWRRA—with over 880 Chapters, 4,000 Volunteer Officers and a corporate staff of only 20—has taken the idea of association management and volunteerism to levels never before seen in the motorcycle industry. GWRRA is the world’s largest single marque motorcycle association!

To celebrate its 30 years of success as an association, GWRRA is planning a series of events throughout the U.S., Canada and Europe. The theme for these celebrations is “30 Years of Memories.” Each event will also have a sub-theme of “Giving Back to the Member.”

As you can imagine, 2007 will be a very exciting year for GWRRA and its Members. It will be a year of both memories and of showing appreciation for our Members. So plan to attend as many 30th anniversary events as you can.

We know you’ll HAVE FUN!!! After all, that’s why you joined GWRRA, isn’t it?
